Osmaston Park was formally farmland owned by the Wilmot family of Osmaston. The family owned Osmaston Hall which was originally located on nearby Ascot Drive. The present day park is a remnant of the rural landscape which once dominated this area. The park was gifted to the people of Derby, at the time Rolls-Royce came to Derby in 1907.
