Mr. Wooton began his career with the West Virginia Alcohol Beverage Control Administration (WVABCA) on Oct. 16, 1991, as an Inspector in the Enforcement Division. Mr. Wooton was promoted to Enforcement Agent and later to Enforcement Supervisor and in January 2017, newly elected West Virginia Governor Jim Justice appointed Mr. Wooton to serve as WVABCA's mission is to regulate and control the manufacture, sale, distribution, transportation, storage and consumption of alcohol while assuring the greatest degree of personal freedom consistent with the health, safety and welfare of every West Virginian. The WVABCA's core functions are; enforcing the laws and regulations, The WVABCA also works to reduce and prevent dangerous and underage drinking through partnerships with schools, licensees, and state and local law enforcement.
