Ginataang Alimasag is eaten with a lot of rice specially if you have prepared it little spicy. It is best eaten with your hands, forget the spoon and fork. Enjoy! Ingredients: 1 kilo alimasag 1 bundle sitaw, cut into 2" lengths 2 cups kalabasa, cut into wedges 1/2 head garlic, crushed Cooking: Heat vegetable oil in a pot or wok over medium-low heat. Add the garlic and saute for a few seconds until it turns a light brown, then add the onion and saute until softened. Add the squash (kalabasa), stir, and season with fish sauce and ground black pepper. Pour in the coconut milk and cook for 5 minutes. Pour in coconut milk and water. Bring to a simmer and reduce heat to medium-low. Cook until sauce is thickened, about 10 minutes, adding more water if too dry. Meanwhile, break open the crab. Add to the sauce along with any accumulated juices. Simmer until flavors meld, 8 to 10 minutes more. Season with salt and pepper. Saute garlic and onion. Add fish sauce and coconut cream, and then let boil. Put-in the ground black pepper, and then cook for 10 minutes in medium heat until the liquid reduces. Put-in the crabs and stir. Cook for 10 minutes. Add the squash (kalabasa) and cook until the squash becomes a little soft. Add the string beans, stir, and cook for 3 Heat cooking oil in a large pan. Add then saute onions and garlic until onions are translucent. Add coconut milk and patis, and bring to a boil. Cook for 6 minutes. Add the crabs and cook for 5 minutes. Add the squash and okra. Simmer until vegetables are tender. (You may also add the green finger chili at this point.) Instructions. Add cooking oil in a preheated pan. Saute the garlic, onion, and ginger. Add the ground black pepper and coconut milk then bring to a boil. Add the Thai chili and simmer for 5 minutes. Add in crabs and simmer for 10-15 minutes or until the liquid is reduced by half, stirring occasionally.
