A singular school. Born of a political will in 1982, the ENSCI-Les Ateliers is the only national school exclusively dedicated to industrial creation and design. At the time, the idea was to break with academic models by placing creation at the heart of the concerns of industrial production and thus to revive the spirit of the Bauhaus or Black ENSCI-Les Ateliers became the first school entirely devoted to design in France, it has been ranked first among French "Art and Design" training institutions in the annual QS World University Rankings. Today, it is ranked 22nd among the 800 best schools and universities in the world. Two diplomas are offered in initial training: Textile Founded in 1982, ENSCI-Les Ateliers is jointly governed by the Ministries of Culture and Industry. The School offers advanced study, consultancy and research in all aspects of contemporary design practice.
