The first thing that comes to mind is the shift in mood. While the band continues to traffic in childhood and nostalgia, the atmosphere on this album is a shade darker than on previous releases It's easy to declare that this is my favourite album of all-time. No other album has ever given me a sense of dread, happiness, paranoia, sorrow, or even the urge to dance all at the same time. This truly is a rollercoaster of many emotions, some of which are pretty dark. A 66min cinematic trip that feels like a horror film if it was just audio. Dark as it is, Geogaddi isn't always directly spooky.
