The room was clean and comfortable and looked to be recently renovated (possibly). There was a live band playing when we arrived. People were dancing and enjoying themselves. We enjoyed ourselves from our balcony, which had a table and chairs. There's a diner next door, which was clean and had an excellent breakfast.Historic Lodge. As noted in one of the other reviews, you should absolutely support the restoration of this bit of local history. Brookdale Lodge has been a bucket list item of ours and to find out it had recently reopened after years of being run down and fenced off was the perfect reason to stay here for my husband's 50th birthday.
