The beautiful 'Old Laboratory' building at RHS Wisley has been turned into an interactive exhibition that explores the Society's history. Visitors to the Royal Horticultural Society's Garden at Wisley will be familiar with the beautiful old building near the garden's entrance. The 'Old Laboratory' has been the home of the Society's The RHS Garden Wisley is a renowned showplace for all aspects of horticultural practice and a living catalogue of ornamental and culinary plants. It demonstrates British gardening at its best with 100 ha of glorious garden. The garden lies between Cobham and Ripley, off the main London to Portsmouth road, south of Junction 10 of the M25. 5. It looks incredible in all seasons. Obviously spring and summer is when the garden is awash with colour and scent, but that doesn't mean there will be no display come autumn and winter. Look at Zones 5-9. 'Corallinum' is an amazing small Japanese maple. This tree reaches 4-6 ft over time and has a dense upright growth habit. The spring color on this Japanese maple is a great coral-pink. The midsummer flush is a spectacular apricot color over a soft green. 'Corallinum' changes into a bright scarlet red in the fall. Corallinum emerges an outstanding pink in the spring, making this maple an eye-catching beauty with a floral-like appearance! The leaves turn to a pleasing green in summer, with some of the foliage keeping flecks of pink from the spring color. This variety will often go through another flush of pink later in summer. Corallinum has small, dense leaves and is slow growing with a maximum height I am currently on the RHS plant forum for assessing the Persicaria plant trial at RHS Wisley. Persicaria are a particularly robust species of varying forms of foliage and flower, recent breeding has led to a rise in different colours. I was last able to visit in September 2019, then all trials assessment were paused due to Covid 19.
