Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is an evidence-based, data-driven framework proven to reduce disciplinary incidents, increase a school's sense of safety and support improved academic outcomes. More than 1,000 GA schools, and 27,000 U.S. schools are implementing PBIS and saving countless instructional hours otherwise lost
PBIS is based on the three-tier model of support: Tier 1 Universal supports are provided to all students across all settings, including rules and expectations posters in classrooms and hallways, clear instructions for teachers and staff on how to handle behavioral problems, and positive reinforcement for good behavior.
