A ten year dream became a reality during the summer of 1967 when Alpha Kappa Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated purchased the estate of the late Miss Willie Mae Thompso n at 1171 San Bernard Street, Austin, Texas. The property was immediately renovated to restore the building and grounds for youth and adult activities. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Nacogdoches, Texas — Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity formally announces the closure of the Iota Zeta Chapter at Stephen F. Austin State University. The chapter made the difficult decision to surrender its charter.
