The Marliave was shut in the 2000s and seized by the state. It was given a new life in 2008 when current owner and chef Scott Herritt took over the space. Herritt amalgamated the various parts of The Marliave's history to create what it is today a fusion French-Italian restaurant with many original features of its 1885 appearance, including Marliave.
