As you turn to face Magdalen College, you will find one of the most beautiful sights in all of Oxford, the glorious Magdalen Tower. Built between 1490 and 1510, it is more than 150 feet high. Our tour was a small group tour of JRR Tolkien and CS Lewis' Oxford, with a heavy focus on Tolkien, and we could not have had a more exciting visit nor a more beautiful day to walk around such a storied campus.
