A four-star, top-50 recruit in the 2023 recruiting class, Griffiths picked Rutgers over Connecticut out of Simsbury (Conn.) Kingswood-Oxford High School. The 6-foot-8, 193-pounder played in all 32 games last season for Rutgers, averaging 5.8 points and 2.2 rebounds. He scored 16 in a Big Ten Tournament loss to Maryland before entering the portal.
